  37. I am sick of the ugly looking non-proportional text viewers.  So  I  decided  to
  38. write  my  own  viewer  that would be font-sensitive, and blend in with all your
  39. other nice patches, as so not to spoil the look and feel of your Workbench.
  40.  
  41. Well I was sick  of  non-proportional  text  viewers  until  I  made  horizontal
  42. scrolling  in this version. Now EvenMore doesn't support proportional fonts. But
  43. IMHO, even though EvenMore isn't as powerful as the rest,  it  still  looks  far
  44. nicer than the competition, and is increasing in functionality at every release.

  46.  Here are the main features of 0.53

  49.  o Scroller window allows easier moving about documents.
  50.  o AppWindow, AppIcon and AppMenu makes opening files easy. Not only can you
  51.    drag files onto them, but also drawers, and a requester will appear!
  52.  o Totally font sensitive.
  53.  o Tooltypes and preference file(s) for configuring settings.
  54.  o Can open the window on any public screen and move between them.
  55.  o Can create it's own public screen to run on.
  56.  o ARexx port for remote control.
  57.  o Supports the numeric keypad and mouse movement.
  58.  o Very clean and smooth scrolling.
  59.  o String and pattern finding functions with search hilighting.
  60.  o Bookmarks for remembering positions in the document.
  61.  o Quick load listview for opening documents fast.
  62.  o Configurable GUI for quick access to features.
  63.  o File loading uses AsyncIO for speed.
  64.  o Can open multiple files. Up to 1000 files can be stored in memory.
  65.  o Help available by pressing the help key.
  66.  o Gadget help bubbles.
  67.  o User-configurable filetypes, for passing certain files to different programs.

  82.  Here are the recent features

  85.  o Added Mark text menu to the view menu. The Line subitem will mark the first
  86.    line in the window. Selecting Line a second time will mark the last line in
  87.    the window. RAMIGA C will copy the marked text to the clipboard.
  88.  o If any text has been marked, the printer will print only this text,
  89.    otherwise the whole document will be printed.
  90.  o If there were no files loaded, the help title text would not display and the
  91.    maximum window rows and columns would not be calculated.
  92.  o Accidentally cleared 1 row and column of pixels too many on redraw when no
  93.    file is viewed in the window.
  94.  o The left border would be trashed when you scrolled past the length of a line.
  95.  o Changed preference file. ARRAYs no longer need to be converted to STRINGs
  96.    and back again.
  97.  o Hacked EasyGUI to allow me to select whether a listview should be able to
  98.    resize horizontally, to fix the problem with the preferences listview.
  99.  o Reduced executable size by 500 bytes splitting appiconpos settings, and
  100.    removing the window dimension preferences.
  101.  o Hacked EasyGUI to allow me to use keys other than letters for gadgets. Now
  102.    ENTER will Ok most windows and ESC will close them.
  103.  o Pressing F will now bring up the search window, S will bring up the screens
  104.    window, G will bring up the Go to line window and Q will bring up the
  105.    quickload list.
  106.  o Search and Go to line, etc strings now activated on window opening. Thanks
  107.    to John Nelson for the help.
  108.  o Hacked EasyGUI to find the longest string in my preference listview to work
  109.    out how wide to make it, so it will work with all fonts.
  110.  o Went back to copying WB palette as default palette. This also allows
  111.    VisualPrefs to change our titlebar colours, yay!
  112.  o Fixed bug where if EvenMore was iconified and you tried to make it load new
  113.    files by passing them on from a newly loaded EvenMore, it would forget it
  114.    was iconified, and crash.
  115.  o Removed progress window and added a new progress bar in the GUI.
  116.  o Fixed bug where if you selected no borders for the GUI, the borders would
  117.    not be cleared at all on a redraw. The width of the border edges are also now
  118.    taken into consideration during the clear, which means you won't see them
  119.    being redrawn.
  120.  o The infobar text wasn't rendered in the GUI pen settings.
  121.  o Uses ReadItem() for seperating multiple files in one string instead of my
  122.    custom procedure.
  123.  o Removed Zoom font, window positioning and text offset features, as I didn't
  124.    think they were that useful for a textviewer. Scrolling is now faster as a
  125.    result. Text offset will now be set at 3 pixels + border width.
  126.  o Thanks to Victor Gutiérrez for translating the locale and docs into Spanish.

  128. There are still a few things to be ironed  out  though.  Please  read  the  docs
  129. before you delete as soon as you set your eyes on it.
